This past month I was in the upper peninsula of Michigan for a month long Christian retreat called InterVarsity’s Leadership Institute, IVLI, in Cedar Campus. My time there was amazing and God really did a number on my heart and soul. There’s so much to say about my time there but I guess I want my first post to start out with a Psalm and a prayer to God that I wrote down for that month. May these reflections bless you as they have blessed and continue to bless me.
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10
(July 6, 2014) Dear Lord,
There are so many things on my mind right now and I truly believe I have a heart for them but I realize that I can not fix everything now and the things that can be addressed now should be given fully to you. Daddy in Heaven, I ask that you guide me this afternoon and month here and for the rest of my life; that I rely first and foremost on you and only you.
Please let your presence be felt here with me and let my ears and heart be open to your Word and Will.
In your son’s, Jesus Christ, name. Amen.
