The Saturday Reading List: TBW’s December Book Photo Challenge

Hello Reading Listers!

Due to being unexpectedly busy with things this week (work meetings and a grad school interview) and therefore sleeping more on the train to and from work instead of reading, there will unfortunately be no review this week for the Saturday Reading List. However, I’m participating The Book Wars’ December Book Photo Challenge and I wanted to share with you the themes so far (except for Day 7: Shelfie – my bookshelf is too much of a hot mess right now for anyone to see). Enjoy and I hope you join in!

Day 1: Currently Reading, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” by Michael Chabon

Day 2: Underrated Favorite, “Cry, the Beloved Country” by Alan Paton

Day 3: Best Book to Screen Adaptation, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee

Day 4: Non-Canon OTP, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy (aka Dramione) from “The Harry Potter” series by J.K. Rowling

Day 5: Bookish Twin, Pip from “The Untold Tale” by J.M. Frey

Day 6: Most Charming Character, Angelo Pignati (aka the Pigman) from “The Pigman” by Paul Zindel

Day 8: Book & Drink, “Why Not Me?” by Mindy Kaling with blueberry tea

Day 9: Intense Read, “The Stranger” by Albert Camus

Day 10: Fanfic > Canon, The Twilight Series

Day 11: Gift Material, “The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm” edited by Noel Daniel with artwork by various artists

Day 12: Binge Read, Tie between “His Dark Materials” series by Phillip Pullman and most of the books by Michael Crichton

What does you all think? Have you read any of these books? Do you agree or disagree with the books I picked for each theme? Let me know (nicely though) and feel free to join in on the Book Photo challenge on Instagram! Keep updated with the books I chose for the upcoming themes by checking my FB page. Also don’t forget to follow me Twitter and FB!
